The properties
Swiss chard is very rich in vitamins, especially A and C and also K which acts on bone strengthening and participates in the protection of the nervous system. In addition, they are characterized by a good presence of mineral salts, such as iron and especially potassium. This is very important because it allows chard to play a role in regulating blood pressure and makes it part of a diet designed for those suffering from arterial hypertension. The high concentration of iron, on the other hand, makes them estimates allies against anemia.
As I mentioned before, I recommend that you use chard cooked with as little water as possible. This is because chard is a food that already has a low energy intake, cooking them with a lot of water can contribute to the release of most of their nutrients and therefore to their "depletion". In addition, they have practically no cholesterol and are easily digestible foods.

They also have positive diuretic actions and for this reason they are often indicated as foods to include in one's diet in case of cystitis problems or kidney dysfunction as they promote the elimination of toxic substances. I told you that they are rich in fiber, which is why they promote the regulation of intestinal activity and glucose levels and also help to increase the sense of satiety.
