Ringing in the ear , known in medical vocabulary as tinnitus , is the perception of a sound inside the ear that does not come from the environment.
This can manifest as a constant ringing, buzzing, whistling, or murmuring, and although many people experience it occasionally, it is important to know that it is not always a harmless symptom.
In most cases, tinnitus is not a disease in itself, but rather a sign that something is happening in the auditory system or the body. Therefore, when the sound occurs frequently or becomes persistent, it’s worth paying attention to.
