If a person is neither too thin nor too fat, their veins are rarely visible.
That's why I often see myself as someone who doesn't have a lot of veins.
As I examined my arms, I noticed a vein that looked darker. She wasn't there before, so I was surprised to discover her.
I always thought it was okay to have much darker veins, without worrying too much about what it meant for my health.
