A simple cleaning method involves white vinegar. Half a bowl of vinegar mixed with water goes into the kettle. Bring it to a boil. Let it rest for around ten minutes. Pour it out and wipe the inside. The residue removes easily because vinegar’s acidity reacts with the alkaline mineral deposits. The kettle becomes noticeably cleaner, faster to heat and safer to use.
