Wash the oranges thoroughly. Peel them, trying to keep the peels in large pieces.

Place the peels in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 8 minutes to reduce the bitterness.

Drain the peels and immediately cool them in cold water.

Cut the peels into thin strips .

Place the peels in a saucepan with water, orange juice and sugar .

Bring to a light boil and cook for 30 minutes , stirring occasionally.

Turn off the heat, cover with a lid and let it rest in the syrup for 10 minutes .

Drain the peels well and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Let them dry at room temperature for at least 1 hour , until they are no longer sticky.

Roll them in granulated sugar until completely covered.
