Yellow toilet bowl bottom, run to the kitchen to get rid of it immediately – just one drop is enough

Let it sit for a few hours  and then flush the toilet. The bleaching action of the baking soda and the descaling action of the vinegar will free the toilet from yellow stains.

Citric acid

A natural ingredient that you have available in your kitchen is citric acid, i.e. lemon juice. A slightly acidic substance, it has the power to remove limescale without ruining the ceramic, restoring its natural splendor. You can use citric acid alone or combined with other products. Here’s what they are:

  • Citric acid and dishwashing liquid  : Mix a glass of citric acid with 10 ml of dishwashing liquid. Shake the solution well and use it to clean the toilet bowl as you would any other product. The descaling effect of citric acid will remove limescale from the bottom.
  • Citric acid and borax  : Mix one cup of citric acid with two cups of borax. Apply the mixture to the walls of the toilet bowl, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse. The toilet bowl will be free of yellow stains.
