THE SPROUSE TWINS AT 30: WHERE ARE DYLAN AND COLE TODAY?

So when the Sprouse twins reached 30, fans everywhere found themselves asking the same question:

Where are Dylan and Cole Sprouse today—and how did they get here?

The answer is more layered, more intentional, and more fascinating than most people expect.

From Diapers to Disney: The Early Years

Born on August 4, 1992, in Arezzo, Italy, Dylan Thomas Sprouse and Cole Mitchell Sprouse entered the world before they entered Hollywood—but not by much. Their parents, both English teachers, relocated the family to California shortly after the twins were born.

Like many child twins in the entertainment industry, Dylan and Cole were cast together for practical reasons. Child labor laws limit how long a young actor can work, and twins allow productions to double filming time by alternating between them.

Their first acting gigs came before they could even form memories.

Breaking Out with “Big Daddy”

Their first major breakthrough came in 1999 with the Adam Sandler film Big Daddy, where they shared the role of Julian McGrath. The twins’ natural charm and comedic timing stood out, even in a film packed with seasoned actors.

Audiences didn’t necessarily know there were two Sprouse boys—but casting directors did.

From that point on, the twins became reliable young performers, appearing in TV shows like Friends (where Cole played Ross Geller’s son) and several family-friendly films.
