Property records show Nancy listed the home in 2007 at $950,000, then lowered the asking price to $875,000 by that summer. By October of that year, it was off the market entirely.

A Home Built on Faith and Family
The Guthrie family's life in that house was deeply shaped by faith. On Sundays, the whole family would spend the entire day at Casas Adobes Baptist Church — Sunday school, morning service, choir practice, and night service.

As Savannah later recalled, "Faith was so woven into our daily lives, we liked to say that God was the sixth member of the Guthrie family."

Her father, Charles, was the kind of man people gravitated toward. Savannah described him as "a 5,000-watt bulb who could turn a mundane trip to the post office into a rip-roaring tale."
