Why the washing temperature of bed linen is so important
Bed linen comes into direct contact with our skin for several hours every night. That's why it deserves special attention. An unsuitable temperature can cause unsightly shrinkage, color fading, or weakening of the fibers – similar to a sweater accidentally washed in the wrong cycle. The correct washing temperature, on the other hand, ensures that your bed linen remains comfortable, fresh, and pristine – without any extra effort.
Washing bed linen at 60°C: The classic and effective choice.
If your bed linen is made of cotton, cotton sateen, or linen, 60°C remains a reliable option. This temperature is ideal for thorough cleaning, especially for white bed linen. It helps remove everyday stains and leaves a pleasant feeling of freshness.
One minor drawback: Some natural fibers can shrink slightly with frequent washing at high temperatures. White cotton can sometimes withstand up to 90°C, but this setting should only be used in exceptional cases.
