You need:
Half a cup of baking soda.
Half a cup of vinegar.
Pour the baking soda into the sink, making sure most of it flows down the drain. Then pour in the vinegar as well, which will fizz upon contact with the baking soda.
At this point, you can take the opportunity to use a sponge to clean the inside surfaces of the sink: the combination of vinegar and baking soda is very effective at removing dirt, disinfecting, and making the metal shine.
After about 5 minutes, pour a large amount of hot water into the sink to rinse and remove any residue and unpleasant odors.
To prevent food particles and other debris from accumulating in your sink drain, we recommend using this trick periodically, rather than waiting until an unpleasant odor develops or, worse yet, until the drain becomes clogged.
Thanks to this trick, we will be able to use an effective and ecological solution to the problem of unpleasant odors coming from the sink in our home.
