Where this myth comes from
This idea is mostly based on visual assumptions and stereotypes about the female body. People often try to connect:
- Butt size (gluteal fat and muscle)
- Hip width (pelvic bone structure)
- Vaginal appearance or tightness (internal anatomy)
But these are completely different body systems that are not directly linked.
What a “big butt” actually means
A larger butt is mainly influenced by:
- Genetics
- Fat distribution (hormones like estrogen influence where fat is stored)
- Muscle size (gluteal muscles from activity or natural build)
- Body composition and lifestyle
👉 None of these factors determine vaginal structure or function.
What the vagina actually is (scientifically)
The vagina is:
An internal muscular canal
Designed to be elastic and flexible
Capable of expanding (for example during childbirth)
Important facts:
It is not visible from the outside
Its shape is not related to butt size
“Tightness” is not fixed and varies with muscle tone, arousal, age, and childbirth—not body shape
Why butt size and vagina are NOT connected
